With over 15 years of food and beverage experience, Matthew “Matty” Tsoumaris, Co-founder of Honeycomb Hospitality, brings vast knowledge in elevating Toronto’s culinary scene. Having been born into a family of hospitality, Matty has a natural skill when it comes to developing venues with unique service offerings. This instinct established his interest in travelling and trying new restaurants, eventually leading him to his first venture, Uniq Lifestyle Entertainment. The result was magic for Toronto’s nightlife scene - bringing in marquee events like the Digital Dreams Festival, F1 Montreal, Cheval, Valdez, Cobra, BrantHouse, Wildflower, and Myth.
Building Honeycomb Hospitality alongside Co-founder Brandon Farmer, they developed some of Toronto's most popular and highly coveted culinary venues: Baro, DASHA and Petty Cash with a team of 250+ team members. Matty’s contributions certify him as one of the figures who participated in the revitalization of the King West neighbourhood.
Matty has been awarded over a dozen of Toronto Hospitality Awards and was recently presented with the honourable Hellenic Canadian Board of Trade Business Award for his impressive portfolio and integral role in defining Toronto’s dining scene. He was named as one of the “Top 20 Entrepreneurs Changing The Way Canadians Do Business”.
